Ephesians 3:20–21 NKJV
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
INTRODUCTION
(Would you help me preach this … by turning to your neighbor and tell them … “God can do abundantly more!”)
 - A recent Gallup poll survey was taken … and found that 81% of all Americans believe in God (or in a universal force).
- But in that same survey … only 65% defined God as the omnipotent … omniscient … omnipresent … creator of the universe who is in charge of the world today.
- Can I just register my vote today?  That I am in that 65%!
- Because not only do I believe that God exists. I believe that …
God is omniscient (He knows everything).
God is omnipresent (He is everywhere at the same time).
God is also omnipotent (He has all power in His hand) …
- Or in terms of our text … He is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine … ”
- Simply put … “God can do abundantly more”. <SEMI-PAUSE>
A young teen who had recently accepted Christ (was baptized and joined the church) was reading the bible on his phone while waiting for the school bus to come.
And every now and then … he would shout out loud “hallelujah” or “praise the Lord” or “amen”.  And another student at the bus stop overheard him … and asked him what he was reading … and he answered “I’m reading the story in the bible, about how God parted the Red Sea, and permitted the Hebrews to escape from slavery.  It was a miracle!”
The other student skeptically said, “Moses and the people of Israel did NOT cross a sea!  That body of water was actually only 6” deep.  <SEMI-PAUSE> That (my friend) was not a miracle!”
And the teen nodded his head … and then shouted louder “hallelujah!” And the other boy said, “what are you shouted about now?”  And he said, “then it definitely was a miracle, because according to what you said … Pharoah’s army drowned in only 6” of water!!!” <PAUSE>
